had just got in from work and saw it happen on tv have just heard about the first one at the traffic light when I turned the radio on

I was working for a travel agent and I couldn't believe the email we got about the first crash into the World Trade Centre. My sister and I were due to go to New York on the 19th September. It was one of the places we would've visited. I kept thinking, ...all those people. Very sad.

I had a day off and come back from shopping, turned on the tv and said to my gf, "ooh the World Trade Centre's on fire"...then the second plane hit. Utter disbelief at what I had witnessed, I thought I was seeing things!!!

on holiday in canada with my hubby,visiting sister,in Toronto at the time of the first hit into the first tower,all american shops closed in all the malls,just unbeleiveable everybody rushing around panick stations.oh my god.

i was in holiday in Majorca with my husband when we heard what had happened, to say i was a little nervous catching the plane back home was an understatement, but silly really because security, because of it, was so tight.

I was on holiday on the beach in France and never found out about it until three days later. Dumbfounded.

I was working in an open office and one of the girls decided to end the job she was doing on the computer and click on to the news. When we heard her cries of disbelief we were all abandoning our work and logging on to the news. We first of all thought it was like something from a CGI film but when reality set in, the atmosphere of the office was then very subdued.
