Thomas Crapper 1880

JANUARY 27TH : On this day in 1910 sanitary engineer Sir Thomas Crapper, died. An etching of Thomas Crapper (1837-1910) who started a plumbing business in Chelsea in 1861, and pioneered some of the most revolutionary designs of sanitary engineering in the 19th Century, particularly in developing the modern WC cistern.
