Titanic Voices Exhibition 2002

Millvina Dean, Britain's last Titanic survivor opens the Titanic Voices Exhibition at Southampton's Maritime Museum. Miss Dean was just nine weeks old as she made the fateful journey from the city with her parents and brother on 10th April, 1912. * Her father, Bertram, 27, died in the tragedy but her mother Georgetta and her older brother Bertram Jnr were put in a lifeboat with Miss Dean and survived. Miss Dean, who said she believed she was only one of four survivors left in the world, opened the exhibition, Titanic Voices, at the Maritime Museum in Southampton ahead of the 90th anniversary of the famous disaster of the 'unsinkable' ship, next week.

I remember seeing her on the news and thinking she speaks well for her age! must have been sad to lose her father at that age.
