Prince and Princess Michael of Kent sit inside a 1903 De Dietrich at the start of the 100th London to Brighton veteran car run in Hyde Park this morning (Sun). This year's centenary run involves a record number of 650 cars, the organisers, the RAC, have been given special permission to increase the permitted numbers by more than 150. The run has attracted entrants from 23 countries from Angola to Australia. All were built before January 1, 1905 and their total value was put at more than 50 million. See PA story MOTORING Veterans.
