Transport - First UK Boeing 747 Flight - Heathrow Airport, London 1970

Filling the sky, the mighty Boeing 747 jumbo jet swoops low over the road as it comes in to land at Heathrow Airport. The huge aircraft, first of it's type to land at Heathrow, arrived three hours late because of an engine change and a 'traffic jam' at John F. Kennedy Airport, New York. Passengers on the Pan American flight were airline staff and some families and officials of the American Federal Aviation Agency.

Did you know that this plane is the exact same plane that was lost in the horrific accident at los rodeos (the worst air crash ever) when a KLM 747 smashed into this 747 on the runway......
