I remember Mr & Mrs White (25 W.P.Gardens) having a B & W Television some time in the late 40sor early fifties and almost every child in the street sitting on the floor of the living room watching in total awe. Andy F. from next door!

I remember watching the Coronation on television about 14 in the room glued to a huge box with a 9" B/W screen. Needless to say it was the neighbour's television we could not afford one.

I REMEMBER CONVENIENTLY KNOCKING FOR MY FRIEND ANN IN WOODSTOCK ROAD N.4. EVERY NIGHT AT 5 O/CLOCK AND HER MUM SAYING SHE WAS NOT COMING OUT BUT I COULD GO IN TO WATCH T.V.
