How lovely to see this building again. What a shame that Elmfield and Carfax have both been demolished. I remember during Ascot week we were allowed to go out to the Long Walk to see the Queen and the royal family drive down from Windsor Castle. Although I lived in Slough I always think of Windsor as my spiritual home and love to go back, although it seems very much for the tourist now and not for the people who live there. ...o remember Miss Meach, Miss Riddle, Miss Griffin, Mrs Lorenzo, Miss Shawcross, Miss Barnes (who died while I was there), Mrs. Quentin (is that right - she taught p.e.), Miss Williams and the French teacher she lived with - can't remember her name. Oh the memories - lesley Philp (was Beenham for anyone out there who remembers me).
I remember going there in 1961 - 1963, crossing the road to get to different classes and the prefects always on the lookout to see if you were wearing your beret.

I was there from 1957 to 1961, the photo brought back many memories as did the other comments. I now live in America but would love to contact two good friends from my time there - Trudy Hyde and Linda Smith. I was then Celia Kerridge.

I remember the teachers that Lesley Philp lists. The French teacher who lived with Miss Williams was Miss Lerigo. We had several young teachers join the Staff in about 1958; Miss Chaplin taught English and Miss Gilbert taught history (I think). By Gill Cole (McManus)
