Young Americans 1975

Bowie's soul influences were apparent throughout Young Americans, although he himself described it as 'the squashed remains of ethnic music as it survives in the age of Muzak rock, written and sung by a white limey'. Far enough. Despite its 'limey' creator, the album was a success in the US and reached #2 in the UK album charts.
